2021 Hua Chenyu Mars Concert
Mars Concert is an outdoor concert stage design built on a lawn in Haikou, China. The layout is divided into three parts. The main stage is 25 meters tall, 74 meters wide and 33 meters deep, and takes the form of a treehouse at a Martian base. A smaller home stage measures 18 meters in length and width, with two levels and a total height of 10 meters, and hosts interactive performances. An extension platform 60 meters long and 6 meters wide links the two stages. The sound system is integrated into the stage to serve both near and distant seats.
2021 Hua Chenyu Mars Concert Stage by Peng Guo has been identified as an innovative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. 2021 Hua Chenyu Mars Concert Stage won the Golden A' Design Award in Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design in 2025. The A' Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which honors outstanding design of choreography, dance moves, theatrical sets, dance costumes, stage lighting, opera props, concert stages, ballet scenery, puppetry designs, performance installations and more.
