Rixing Go Digital

Rixing is the world's last and only type foundry that's still making traditional Chinese letterpress. As part of Taiwan's cultural heritage and an ambitious career rather than a for-profit business, Rixing dedicates itself to conveying cultural values of craftsmanship and aesthetics of letterpress to all. This project aims at helping Rixing deliver its value proposition by implementing a self-guided service for visitors to learn about the history, artefacts, techniques, and commodities of letterpress on their own, leaving staff more time to better serve their customers.

SpaceV

SpaceV is a digitally enabled space vending system for future wellbeing. It offers a variety of customizable spaces via a vending system for individuals to book by the minutes. The design celebrates qualities of automation, modularity and scalability of vending machines and merges spatial, interaction and service design into a holistic physicals experience. High polish 3D visualizations are used to storyteller the human-centered experience. This experience blueprint for future wellbeing in the city leverages the vending system and speculates: what if a vending machine becomes a building?

Leakage Awareness

The Leakage Awareness workshop makes it possible for designers to work on bigger, deeper cases with clients. It provides a way to build internal stakeholder support, gather reluctantly disclosed situation info, receive pay for typically unpaid early design research, and ultimately visualize production flows for discussion. The workshop features a modular design for portability and easy extension. It also integrates with the C-BAT app to generate a material analysis report.

ReCollection

ReCollection is an AI art experience that synthesizes personal memories based on users' language input, blurring the boundaries between remembrance and imagination through AI system design and experimental visualization. ReCollection transforms participants' voice input of fragmented stories into an evolving artistic visualization. Beyond its potential as a future therapeutic prototype for dementia groups, this work provides new possibilities for collective memories and cultural reproduction.

The design is based on the very essence of music (from the designer's perspective): the emotional freedom, the never ending flow, the energy of a stream one can feel looking at a yacht piercing the waves or a jet crossing the skies. It's dynamic shapes meet minimalistic approach: one pickup, one volume knob, black colored hardware and body, black ebony fretboard, making it's futuristic stealth-like appearance more expressive and elegant. Well balanced, providing easy access to the top frets, this extended range guitar offers great playing experience in many different styles.
