Venous Materials project envisions a new way to design dynamic tangible interactions using fluidic Interfaces. It is a new type of interactive material that is inspired by veins systems in nature and throughout the human body. When the user applies pressure or motion to the material, it dynamically displays geometric patterns and colors. The different patterns are displays that function as tangible sensors, to animate dynamic graphics, to create responsive objects for learning activities, and to visualize body movement and balance.
With the widespread use of social media, generating life records in digital media has become a new habit for humans. However, once a person dies, those digital properties are often forgotten and inaccessible. Anima Code is a personal seal with an engraved QR code that contains an access key to a person's digital data. By scanning the code stamped beforehand, the bereaved ones can reach the person's digital presence after his or her death. Through the physical interaction of stamping a seal, the designer explores the secure yet intimate approach for inheritance in the digital era.
Their project through the redesign of the work model and enhances the ability to work across departments. Moreover, it could help students familiarize themselves with the campus through a variety of connections and services. For the department, the project results include the definition of value goals, work mode and interactive function design. Services for students include consulting services, admission reception services, guidance services of peers and admission brochures.
This is a semi automatic precise infusion solution dosing system that controls flow rate and time of intravenous medication. The simple mechanical timers and flow rate valves above and below iv dosing tube can be used to improve medical problems caused by medical staff control of flow rate and time of medication.
The Una Corda Piano design departs from the traditional concept of acoustic pianos that consist of the technical piano surrounded by a furniture casing. The Una Corda design strictly focuses on the functional aspects of the instrument, the sound quality and the mechanical properties. For amplifying piano strings only the soundboard is relevant, stripping the instrument of a case allows the sound to travel freely to the listeners. The mechanical parts being visible adds to the educational experience whilst playing the piano, offering an insight into how the audible tone is actually created.
This one-of-a-kind book contains 10 tangible lessons and 10 pieces of practical advice designed to help maximize sustainability and increase profitability. These 10 steps enable farmers to achieve a 'perfect' 10 rotations of grass grazing per year, and produce 10 tons of grass per hectare – a truly powerful number that will massively improve the sustainability of even the most efficient farm.
